Hi, I'm Jimmy Seto.

I'm a software engineer currently based in Japan.

I enjoy working with C and C++, and most of my previous roles involved developing software in those languages. Outside of work, most of my personal projects have focused on building web applications with TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Node.js, and Angular. In my current role, I primarily develop web applications using React, Next.js, and Python.

I'm also studying Japanese. I've passed the JLPT N2 and am currently working toward N1.

Previously, I worked at Microsoft and Raytheon.

Highlights

  • Embedded Systems: Developed software for RTOS-based GPS receivers at Raytheon.
  • Browser Engineering: Contributed to Chromium and Microsoft Edge DevTools at Microsoft.
  • Full-Stack Development: Currently building web applications in Japan using React, Next.js, and Python. Most of my personal projects are built with TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Node.js, and Angular.
  • Python: Built hobby projects in machine learning and audio signal processing, including audio-to-MIDI converters and speech noise cancellation.
